We had a fun Vacation Bible School in August, and it was cool to wrap all the lessons around the story of Jesus’ friend Lazarus.\u00a0 Of course with the kids we focused on the positive of how Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead.\u00a0 But for me, the time when Lazarus got sick and died sticks out as a reminder that Jesus really does know what it’s like to deal with suffering and death, to watch somebody you love pass away.\u00a0 And even though he had the power to bring his friend back from the dead, it didn’t make the loss any less touching.<\/p>\n
