Here’s our latest project at church…<\/p>\n

Apparently nobody has done any painting or decorating in the Sunday School classrooms for a couple of decades, and Jenna decided it would be nice to spruce things up a bit, and she recruited her sister Emmy to help.\u00a0 The girls thought it would be fun to paint an ocean mural in one of the rooms, and they asked me to help with painting the color of the water.\u00a0 I said yes, not knowing that I was going to get roped into helping with all the detailing too.\u00a0 Tricky girls!<\/p>\n

Well, we started painting on Monday, and I thought it would be fun to share some of our progress.\u00a0 Besides, it’s about time to get some posts up with pictures!\u00a0 Right?<\/p>\n

The room was some kind of a tan color to start off with.\u00a0 So step one was laying down some basic water colors.\u00a0 Here’s Emmy rolling on…<\/p>\n

Then we blended the colors a bit and added some lighting details…<\/p>\n

And we started our first critter – a friendly killer whale.\u00a0 Here’s Jenna doing some outlining…<\/p>\n

Here he is all colored in…<\/p>\n

Lookout you little baby seals!\u00a0 Mr. Orcha is hungry!<\/p>\n

Once we had freed Willy it was time to work on Flipper…<\/p>\n

And here’s our dolphin all ready to swim…<\/p>\n

Now we need someone to swim with the dolphins.\u00a0 Look, it’s Scuba Steve…<\/p>\n

Maybe we should have all the kids wear snorkels and flippers to class…<\/p>\n

Hopefully they don’t feel the need to hold their breath every time they come to Sunday School…<\/p>\n

And our last sea creature for the day was the ghost of Crush.\u00a0 Ok he’s not really a ghost, just an outline…<\/p>\n
